PCFLV To Host Ready, Set, GOLD Walk/Run Saturday, Sept. 9th

The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley (PCFLV) is set to host the 14th Annual Ready, Set, GOLD 5k Walk/8k Run at Ironton Rail Trail on Saturday, Sept. 9th.

ALLENTOWN, PA, SEPT. 7, 2023 – The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley (PCFLV) is set to host their 14th Annual Ready, Set, GOLD 5k Walk/8k Run on Saturday, Sept. 9th. Presented by Rob and Kristen Bennett and held at the Ironton Rail Trail (with registration and activities at the Coplay Pavilion), this event features an 8k run, a 5k walk, a kid’s fun run/obstacle course, raffles, music, merchandise, food and more!

Currently, 800 people are pre-registered for the event. Check-in/day-of registration begins at 7 a.m. on Saturday at the Coplay Pavilion.

“We are excited to be hosting our run/walk for the 14th time,” explained Tracy Stauffer, PCFLV’s Marketing, Community Relations and Development Coordinator. “As a cancer mom who knows how much PCFLV supports local pediatric cancer families, I love seeing the community come together for this event.”

PCFLV is a local non-profit providing free and much-needed programs and services to local kids with cancer and their families throughout their entire cancer journey. From diagnosis, during treatment, into survivorship, and, if needed, throughout bereavement, PCFLV is there for local pediatric cancer families.
