Review & Photos by Kimberly Kanuck

Oktoberfest was in full swing at the SteelStacks complex as well as inside the ArtsQuest building. Both Pierogipalooza and Brewers’ Village were brought inside Saturday, due to the inclement weather. I had the pleasure of speaking with attendees and volunteers at both of these events. And everyone was truly appreciative of ArtsQuest trying to keep the festivities going, despite the cold and rainy conditions outdoors. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and cheering throughout my time at the festival. And, of course, I witnessed many beer mugs clinking together and friends uttering “Prost!”

Oktoberfest is celebrating its 13th year, presented by Lehigh Valley International Airport. Oktoberfest is a festival in Southside Bethlehem offering plenty of food, alcohol, live music, local artisans, as well as activities like dachshund races, stein holding competitions, pup parades, kong pong tournament, glass making and more!

Sunday October 15th will be the final day of the festival. There are still plenty of activities to enjoy such as the Oktoberfest Pup Parade at 12pm, the Weiser Dog Races at 12pm and 3pm, and the Cyr Wheel Performance at 4:30pm. Please see below for more details on the festivities.
