The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Visual Arts Department presents its annual Winter Student Art Exhibit, November 3- December 15, 2023.. This impressive exhibit features more than 100 student works including a wide variety of mediums. This year’s exhibit also includes an InVision Photo Festival feature, that includes student photographs as well as work from the exhibit’s featured photographer, Lindsay Woodruff.

FREE First Friday Receptions will be held on November 3rd and December 1st from 6-8 PM in the school’s Corpora Art Gallery as part of the Bethlehem Southside Arts Districts’ First Friday celebration.

The Charter Arts Visual Arts program of study provides a well-rounded, structured, and classical fine art education. Approached as an academic as well as artistic discipline, the sequence of courses inspire students to form connections across the curriculum. Students progressively build conceptual understanding as they work to advance skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, digital design concepts, photography, art history, and professional practices. Over the course of study within the visual arts program, students develop a portfolio expressive of their active studio participation, work ethic, personal inquiry, passion for art, and dedication to skill advancement.

Prospective students and families who are interested in learning more about this award-winning school, are invited to attend an Open House on November 11, 2023. Any student entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade who resides in Pennsylvania is eligible to audition. The school’s current student body hails from a ten-county region in eastern Pennsylvania.  Auditions for the 2024-2025 school year will be held in late January/early February and are by appointment only.
