Science and art come together in a series of events for children and adults at Nurture Nature Center in Easton during this holiday season.

Paint ‘n Sip: Coffee and chocolate version features painting an owl at the center of hex sign-like images on Saturday, November 25, at noon.  Coffee, hot chocolate and snacks provided.  The workshop provides everything you need to paint an owl sign designed by NNC’s resident artist.  Register at www.signupgenius.com/go/paintowl

Treat yourself to a relaxing afternoon of painting (paint-by-number style) with a festive group. Coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks will be provided. Sunday, November 26, 1 pm – Create your Own Winter Greens Container with Rob Christopher. Children’s workshops begin with making birdseed ornaments on Saturday, December 2 at noon or 3 pm.  On Saturday, December 9,  at noon or 3 pm children make natural ornaments using seed pods, pine cones and other plant materials.  On Saturday, December 16, at noon, children will make their own battery-operated votive complete with a winter village and starry night. We are offering three Kids’ Create and Learn activities for the winter season! These are shortened, festive and fun activities, with a little bit of learning about a topic. These activities are suitable for ages 5 yrs and older. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent of guardian. Please review the activities below and click on the button to sign up. In addition, two Science on a Sphere shows will take place.  All About Coffee will show on Saturday, November 25 at 2 pm. It will be followed by a coffee tasting.

All About Chocolate will be featured on the Sphere on Saturday, December 16, at 2 pm.  Chocolate sampling will follow the show.

Nurture Nature will be open from November 25 – December 17 on Wednesdays, noon – 4 pm, Saturdays, noon – 5 pm, and Sundays, noon – 5 pm.  NNC is free to visit.  Parking may be found in the lot behind the building on Pine St. However, guests must walk around the block to enter by the front door.
