Speakers with Amazing Ideas Sought for Fourth Annual TEDxLehighRiver on Sept. 17, 2016

Application deadline is April 15.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Mar. 16, 2015 — The fourth annual TEDxLehighRiver, an independently-organized TED event, will take place on Sat., Sept. 17 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Miller Symphony Hall in Allentown. TEDxLehighRiver 2016 will include live presentations, pre-recorded TEDTalks, and networking/conversation about “Ideas Worth Spreading.”

TEDxTalks are presentations of innovative ideas from various fields. These short (18 minutes or less), carefully prepared talks, demonstrations, and performances are idea-focused, and cover a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration, and wonder. All TEDx events provoke conversations that matter, while presenting multiple issues and a diversity of voices from many disciplines.

“We’re seeking people in our region who have original, captivating and eye-opening ideas and perspectives that will get us thinking and talking about our world,” said TEDxLehighRiver Organizer Lisa Getzler. “Our expert team will coach speakers on how to present their idea effectively and with flair. Speakers can come from any walk of life, any age, any profession (or no profession) and any education level. What’s most important is the power of their ideas and their passion for their topics.”

The TEDxLehighRiver Organizing Committee is inviting anyone who is interested in being considered as a presenter at TEDxLehighRiver 2016 to complete an online application here.

A Curating team of Organizing Committee members will review all applications. The Curating team will then ask selected applicants to submit a short video clip of their idea for further consideration. A group of finalists will meet with the Curating team in person. The presenters for TEDxLehighRiver2016 will be chosen from this group of finalists.

The deadline for applications to be a presenter at TEDxLehighRiver2016 is Friday, April 15. The Organizing Committee expects to announce this year’s speakers before the end of May.
