Everyone can join the shenanigans

Bethlehem, PA – February 5, 2024: Celtic Cultural Alliance (CCA) announces registration is open for Parade of Shamrocks participation

CCA invites everyone to join the shenanigans on March 16th in Historic Downtown Bethlehem!  All organizations, teams, clubs and businesses are encouraged to join this community event.  CCA is proudly partnering with the City of Bethlehem to present the 2024 Parade of Shamrocks.

This is a great way for your organization or business to gain visibility in front of thousands of people viewing the parade.  Participants will have an opportunity to hand out information and get their message out.

“We could not be more excited to be planning this celebration”, states CCA Executive Director Jayne Ann Recker.  “The 2024 Parade of Shamrocks would not be possible without the support we have received from the City of Bethlehem and Major Sponsor Historic Hotel Bethlehem.  We suffered a financial loss at the 2023 Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival because of heavy rain all weekend.  The CCA staff, board & volunteers are looking forward to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day”. City of Bethlehem Mayor William J. Reynolds says: “There is nothing better than kicking off Spring with the Parade of Shamrocks through Historic Downtown Bethlehem.  We are happy to present this year’s parade with the Celtic Cultural Alliance, as we welcome everyone to join our residents and businesses downtown on March 16th for a jam-packed day of activities starting with the parade.  Join the fun and register to be part of the parade as an individual, group or organization, and help us paint the town green.

This parade is a community event and CCA invites everyone to be a part of it.  Get on your green and join the Parade of Shamrocks!

Register before March 1st at: www.celticfest.org

About the Celtic Cultural Alliance

On Columbus Day weekend in 1988, the first Celtic Classic was presented by a small group of individuals. The goal of this dedicated group was to create an event that symbolized the Celtic spirit and history and to provide the impetus for an organization that focused on promoting the Celtic culture. This group evolved into Celtic Cultural Alliance, a non-profit organization, to better communicate the overall goals of the organization.

The CCA has expanded with year-round programming to support the mission of promoting and preserving Celtic Culture through arts, music, literature, dance, and history programs. In keeping with the spirit of “Next Generation”, the CCA also offers scholarships to promising young students of the Celtic Arts. These yearly scholarships are offered to students of the arts, including Irish Step Dance, Highland Dance, Fiddle, and Bagpipes.

The Celtic Classic has blossomed into the largest Celtic festivals in North America. Annually, over 200,000 visitors come to Historic Bethlehem to join in this celebration of all things Celtic.
