Wildlands Conservancy Summer Camp 2024 – Where Tomorrow’s Environmental Stewards Take Root – New Friends and Lasting Memories Made in Nature!! Select from 10 WEEKS OF FUN offered at our Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary (Emmaus), Hopewell Park (Center Valley), and Lone Lane Park (Allentown).

Wildlands Conservancy – Get Out! for Wellness: Swiftwater Forest Preserve – 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Swiftwater Forest Preserve, 239 Donaldson Rd, Cresco, PA 18326. Join us, hiking through softwoods and spring flowers for about 2.5 miles in these 98 acres of woodland owned by Paradise Township, highlighting our work on an erosion project. Questions? Wildlands Conservancy – Pre-K Pathfinders: Botany, Trexler Nature Preserve – 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Trexler Environmental Center, 4935 Orchard Rd., Schnecksville, PA 18078. For children ages 3-5 and their grown-ups: April Showers bring May Flowers. Together we will look at how plants grow, and you will leave with your own seeds to grow at home! Questions? Wildlands Conservancy – Wildlife of the Watershed: Seasonal Series 4/13/24 – 10:00 am – 11:30 am at Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary (DRPWS), 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus, PA 18049. Spring is in the air! Join us and learn all about the native wildlife of the Lehigh Valley: seasonal wildlife migration, offspring, and behavioral changes. Wildlands Conservancy – Get Out! for Wellness: Bear Swamp Boardwalk and Minsi Lake – 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Bear Swamp Boardwalk and Minsi Lake, 1280 Lake Minsi Drive, Bangor, PA 18013. We will hike through a pleasant forest in Upper Mount Bethel Township, then cross Lake Minsi Drive to the Boardwalk around Bear Swamp to view turtles, frogs, tadpoles and spring flowers. Then we’ll drive east to Minsi Lake’s western parking lot for viewing of swallows, great blue herons, and butterflies. Questions? Contact: Arianna Kohler, AKohler@wildlandspa.org. Wildlands Conservancy – Get Out! for Wellness: Wildlands’ Black River Sanctuary – 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Wildlands Conservancy’s Black River Sanctuary, 1310 Black River Road, Bethlehem PA 18015. Wildlands Conservancy recently bought 187 acres across the road from Franko Farm Recreation Area. Wildlands Conservancy – 2024 Earth Day Planting at Louise Moore Park – 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Louise Moore Park, 151 Country Club Road, Easton, PA 18045. For children ages 3-5 and their grownups! Celebrate Earth Day! Join Kate Ebel, Senior Restoration Ecologist at Wildlands Conservancy on a conservation tour of Louise Moore Park followed by a spring planting. Gloves and shovels provided. Wildlands Conservancy – PreK Pathfinders: Habitat Heroes, Wayne Grube Park – 10:00 am – 12:00 am at Wayne A. Grube Park, 1200 Willowbrook Road, Northampton, PA 18067. For children ages 3-5 and their grownups! Join us for an interactive story walk that will take you on a journey through the forest to save your local wildlife, just in time for Earth Day! Wildlands Conservancy – Beginners Guide to Camping, Trexler Nature Preserve – 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Trexler Nature Preserve- Environmental Education Center, 4935 Orchard Road, Schnecksville, PA 18078. For all ages: Join Wildlands Conservancy for a daytime campout. Learn how to pitch a tent, start a campfire and other basic skills you need to survive a night outdoors. Questions? Wildlands Conservancy – Get Out for Wellness: Wildlands’ Maple Tract Preserve – 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Wildlands Conservancy’s Maple Tract Preserve, 271 Stoney Hollow Road, Long Pond, PA 18334. The Preserve’s trails roll up evergreen hiblack riverlls and down into rhododendron-filled valleys. These glacial wetlands are fragile and uncommon ecosystems. Join us on this 2-4 mile hike.
