PBS39 Production U summer camp teaches students the art of video production at the Univest Public Media Center in Southside Bethlehem

Bethlehem, Pa. – April 1, 2024 – Registration is underway for the Production U summer camp hosted by PBS39, the region’s nonprofit public television station. Students entering grades 9 through 12 are eligible to participate in the week-long program at the Univest Public Media Center in Southside Bethlehem on the SteelStacks campus.

Students will learn video production skills that to use in developing a video based on a theme created by the PBS39 production team. Students will learn how to run a camera to capture footage and how to capture audio in studio and on field shoots using PBS39 equipment. They will also edit the audio and video footage, and write the script to tell a story. Members of the production team will share insights on their careers and education journeys.

Summer camp hours are 9 am – 4 pm daily from July 15 – 19. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided. The program cost is $300 per student, and financial assistance is available. Interested students can register here: https://www.wlvt.org/productionu/
