Hollywood Nights- The Bob Seger Experience

Bethlehem, PA… It has been a minute since I have attended a concert. I love music, and I grew up listening to everything under the sun, and beyond the moon. My mom loves music. I listened to a lot of blues, R & B, and so much more. Hip-Hop was a deep escape for me, and that genuine storytelling that the blues and Rock-N-Roll has delivered. Music is completely universal and the MOST HEALING part of life you can be a part of. Hearing the note of a song, and have an entire audience yell out, “TURN THE PAGE” is NEXT!!! It means so much to me listening to songs that I love. I meant so much seeing the happiness in people when we are in such horrific times. Music is something that brings us together.

It has been a minute since I went to a concert, and tonight was beyond magical. Bethlehem, PA, Musikfest Café is one of my favorite places. The atmosphere and the people make everything fun. Tonight, Musikfest Café welcomed Hollywood Nights – The Bob Seger Experience. The band is made up of: Lead Vocals- Rick Murphy, Organ/Guitar- Roger Mancini, Piano- Alec Hay & David Beck, Bass – Frank Pagano, Lead Guitar – Chris Uyvari, Drums- Matt Decarlo, Sax- Alex Mahoney, Backing Vocal- Robin Murphy, Backing Vocal- Treese Logan.

Bob Seger’s is unforgettable. It takes you back to moments that you may have thought about because of one of his songs. Music has that power. This show brought a lot of magic, a lot of nostalgia, and keeping Bob Seger’s musical catalog alive and well. It was like we dropped into an episode of Supernatural, waiting on Dean Winchester… or John Winchester to pick us up.

It was such a fun show. The lead vocalist sounds so much like Bob Seger yet he is not trying to be Bob Seger. He brought the wide range of vocals. He realizes the legacy of Bob Seger. Bob Seger created a catalog that continues to impress and surpassed so many other musicians. He is a songwriter, and he’s written some of the best songs.

Hollywood Nights – The Bob Seger Experience band performed everything from, “Old Time Rock & Roll,” “Turn the Page,” “Against the Wind,” which had the entire crowd up, and just mesmerized. There were so many couples there tonight that went up front to dance together, and have fun. We had a great time in our section. The volunteers were hard at work as always. There is such a kindness about everyone at Musikfest Café.

The band was beyond talented. They did an amazing job. The crowd wanted “one more song.” The chant was powerful, and we got more than one more song! They performed, “Hollywood Nights,” “Night Moves,” which come on, we all basically entered an episode of Supernatural. (Do I love SUPERNATURAL… I DO.)

I would highly recommend going to see them live. It was so much fun. Thank you always Musikfest Café, the volunteers, the Bethlehem Police, and ArtsQuest for making everything great, and safe.
