4-H Archery Opportunities for Kids!
Lehigh Valley, Pa – Youth between the ages of 8-18 (age as of Jan 1, 2025) are invited to join us for one of several archery experiences!
- May 16, 2025, 4-H Introduction to Archery Night at 7 pm: Join this for this one-night spring session to learn about the Lehigh County 4-H Archery program and the experiences available in Lehigh County. The session runs from 6:30 pm- 8:00 pm. Attendance on May 16, Introduction to Archery Night is required to join the Beginner Archery Camp. FREE Event (with $30 4-H Registration fee.) - May 29, June 5, 12, 19, 2025, 4-H Beginner Archery Camp: Our knowledgeable instructors will work with you to instill the basics of archery and to develop your confidence and competence on the range, creating a solid foundation of knowledge and skill that will allow you to progress in this exciting sport. The sessions run from 5 pm- 8:30 pm (divided into two time slots). Attendance on May 16, Introduction to Archery Night, is required to join the Beginner Archery Camp. Open to campers ages 10-18 as of 1/1/25. $50 fee due at first session- May 29. Register by May 15 at: https://4h.zsuite.org/ County: Lehigh Club: Introduction to Archery
- Beginning October 2025, Intermediate Archery Club: Intended for Intermediate level archers. Our knowledgeable instructors will work with you to extend your previous knowledge of archery, explore deeper level archery opportunities and resources, and to develop competition-level competence on the range. While not required, access to your own bow (above basic level) is beneficial to get the most of this year-round club experience for those truly interested in advancing in the sport of archery. Registration will open in October.
The camp and club include instruction time with certified archery instructors and the use of archery equipment. All participants should bring closed-toed shoes and a hair tie to tie back any long hair if necessary. No loose clothing around the upper body will be permitted. More club details will be shared with registrants closer to the time of the first session.
For youth who are not already enrolled as 4-H members, there will be a $30 4-H enrollment fee charge for the Intro night and Intermediate club. You can pay your registration fee at the time of registration by credit card or by mailing a check made payable to Penn State University to Penn State Extension – Lehigh County, Attn: 4-H Archery Club, 4184 Dorney Park Rd, Room 104, Lehigh Co Agricultural Center, Allentown, PA 18104-5798. Payment must be received for registration to be considered complete and your spot to be held. Pre-registration is required; no walk-in registrants will be accepted. Join the FUN!
