Cetronia Ambulance Corps Celebrates EMS Week and 70th Anniversary

South Whitehall Township, PA – Cetronia Ambulance Corps is proud to announce the celebration of EMS Week from May 18 – 24, 2025, coinciding with the organization’s 70th anniversary. This milestone marks seven decades of dedicated service to the community, providing exceptional emergency medical services and community health resources.

EMS Week 2025: “We Care. For Everyone.”

EMS Week is a national celebration recognizing the vital contributions of emergency medical services professionals. This year’s theme, “We Care. For Everyone,” highlights the unwavering commitment of EMS providers to deliver lifesaving care in diverse settings, from urban centers to rural communities.

Throughout EMS Week, Cetronia Ambulance Corps will host a series of events to honor its EMS professionals and engage the community:

EMS For Children Day

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 1 – 4 p.m. Cetronia Ambulance Corps is holding its annual EMS for Children Day featuring family-friendly activities, including ambulance tours, arts and crafts, a bake sale, music, free giveaways, and a pet adoption event by Starting Over Animal Rescue.

Dine and Donate at Iron Hill Brewery

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 5 – 9 p.m., Cetronia Ambulance Corps will host a Dine & Donate event at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant (950 Lehigh Lifestyle Center, Whitehall, PA 18052). During this event, 20% of your bill will be donated to support Cetronia’s mission. Simply show the event flyer or inform your server that you are supporting the fundraiser.

Blood Drive

Cetronia Ambulance Corps is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at their headquarters, 4300 Broadway, Allentown, PA. The drive aims to fill 54 appointment slots, including 5 Power Red donations. Donors will have the opportunity to tour the facility and contribute to a critical cause, as 1 in 7 people entering a hospital will need blood.

Open House and Ribbon Cutting

Additionally, a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the 70th Anniversary, and an open house will be held on May 22, 2025, from 5 – 7 p.m., in collaboration with the Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce. This event will include a tour of the joint operations facility including the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Lehigh County Emergency Management Operations, and a chance to meet the dedicated team behind Cetronia’s success. 70 Years of Service: A Legacy of Excellence

Founded in 1955, Cetronia Ambulance Corps has grown to become a leader in emergency medical services in the Lehigh Valley. The organization operates a highly reliable EMS system in Eastern Pennsylvania, responding to over 41,000 requests for service annually.

In 2024, Cetronia Ambulance Corps achieved remarkable milestones, as highlighted in the 2024 Community Service Report:

  • Dispatched 17,875 emergency units and 6,164 non-emergency units.
  • Facilitated 17,031 paratransit trips and responded to 447 rehab/fire calls.
  • Covered a total of 1,064,918 miles, consuming 108,981 gallons of fuel.
  • Trained 499 students in CPR and supported 55 EMT students.

Serving our community since 1955, we proudly serve Bushkill (Northampton County), Lynn, South Whitehall, Upper Macungie, Weisenberg and Whitehall townships, as well as portions of Lowhill, Salisbury, Greenwich and Albany Townships in Eastern Pennsylvania.
