Trexlertown, PA – June 4, 2025 — The Valley Preferred Cycling Center (VPCC) is proud to announce its 2025 velodrome instructor lineup, featuring a powerhouse team of nationally and internationally recognized cyclists and coaches. From world champions to up-and-coming elite riders, the VPCC coaching team is set to deliver another season of transformative instruction for cyclists of all ages and skill levels.

Meet the 2025 Instructor Team
Kim Geist – Lead Instructor
A two-time World Champion and 32-time National Champion, Kim Geist brings unmatched expertise to VPCC’s Bicycle Racing League and Development Programs. With a background in exercise science, nutrition, and strength training, Kim uses a science-based approach to coaching, backed by real-world elite competition experience.
Jim Alvord – Lead Instructor
VPCC Hall of Fame inductee and Masters World Championship medalist Jim Alvord has over five decades of racing and coaching experience. Known for his work launching PeeWee Pedalers and the Wobbles program, Jim has mentored thousands of riders, including Paralympic athletes, and is a fixture of VPCC’s youth community.
Dakota Stein – Lead Instructor
A former Junior National Champion and T-Town Rider of the Year, Dakota Stein brings elite-level experience and infectious energy to every session. A current competitor on the national stage, Dakota leads BRL training and development drills with sharp tactical insight and enthusiasm.
Jillian Halm – Assistant Instructor
Junior National Madison Champion and VPCC’s 2024 Junior Women’s Rider of the Year, Jillian mentors young riders while actively racing for Kelly Benefits Strategies Cycling. Known for her approachable style and competitive success, she’s a positive role model for athletes coming up through the ranks.
Jonathan Chambers – Development Instructor, Ages 13–15
A 15-time Masters National medalist and five-time PA BAR Champion, Jonathan brings a calm, experienced presence to VPCC’s programs. Having taught at the Velodrome since 2009, he’s known for his dedication to instilling confidence and a love of cycling in every new rider.
Angel Jimenez – Assistant Instructor
A former elite triathlete and road sprinter, Angel brings international competition experience and coaching excellence to VPCC. Having competed across the Caribbean and U.S., he now shares his knowledge and passion with the next generation—emphasizing discipline, technique, and positivity.
Hannah Halm – Assistant Instructor
With five years of velodrome instruction experience and a racing career that spans local and national levels, Hannah is a homegrown success story. A standout in VPCC’s Finesse and Fury program, she competes in track, road, and cyclocross while studying Nutrition and Public Health at Cedar Crest College.
Instruction With Purpose
The Valley Preferred Cycling Center has been introducing the freedom and empowerment of life on two wheels to people of all ages for nearly 50 years – from teaching kids how to pedal their first bike to summer camps for teens, corporate team building programs, and everything in between.
Each instructor at VPCC is not only an accomplished cyclist but also a dedicated mentor—committed to fostering growth both on and off the track.
