ALLENTOWN, Pa. — June 27, 2025 — Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, in continued partnership with Illumination Brewing, is excited to announce the debut of FUNKEL CAKE, a new limited-edition craft beer that blends nostalgic dessert flavors with summertime refreshment.
Following the success of Iron Menace Lager in 2024—released to celebrate the park’s record-breaking dive roller coaster, this year’s collaboration takes a lighter, more playful turn. FUNKEL CAKE is a golden ale with subtle notes of vanilla and powdered sugar, inspired by the classic funnel cake enjoyed by park guests every summer.
“After seeing how much guests loved Iron Menace Lager, we knew we had to bring something completely different—and FUNKEL CAKE is exactly that,” said Ryan Eldredge, Public Relations and Communications Manager at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom. “It’s unexpected, fun, and perfect for summer days in the park.”
Brewed under the Funk Brewing brand, FUNKEL CAKE is a sweet golden stout with hints of fried dough-y goodness—perfect for cooling off after a ride or during a festival day in the park.
FUNKEL CAKE will be available starting this weekend to those 21 and over exclusively at Dorney Park and Illumination Tap Rooms.
This marks the second consecutive year of collaboration between Dorney Park and Illumination Brewing, building on a shared commitment to local flavor, creativity, and unforgettable guest experiences.
