Allentown, PA — The family of George H. Hansell Jr. is relieved to share that he was found safe on Friday, July 12, 2025, at approximately 3:15 PM in Allentown.

George, 31, had been reported missing from his home in South Whitehall Township on July 2. After more than a week of concern and community efforts, his family confirms he is now safe and receiving the care he needs.

“We are extremely grateful to the Allentown and South Whitehall Township Police Departments for their quick response, compassion, and professionalism,” said a family spokesperson. “Their dedication helped bring this situation to a peaceful and positive end.”

George has schizoaffective disorder, depressive type with catatonia—a serious mental health condition that requires continuous support. His safe recovery was a top priority for both law enforcement and his family.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the public and media for sharing the missing person alert and helping raise awareness.
