Trexlertown, PA – August 1, 2025— The 2025 racing season officially kicked into high gear at the Artie Greenberg Memorial under the lights at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center, where top athletes from around the world delivered fast laps, fierce competition, and unforgettable performances. While the coveted Five and Ten Mile track records stood firm, the night belonged to riders who pushed the pace and lit up the boards from start to finish.
Record Attempts Bring the Heat
The evening’s marquee events—the Women’s Five Mile and Men’s Ten Mile Record Attempts—had the crowd on the edge of their seats.
Claudia Marcks (Australia) nearly etched her name into the record books with a blazing 11:00 finish in the Women’s Five Mile, averaging 43.9 km/h. She topped a strong field that included
Kimberly Zubris (Star Track Cycling, Alburtis, PA) and Danielle Van Niekerk (Bike Works p/b Fred Beans, South Africa).
Marcos Mendez (Argentina) delivered an electric performance in the Men’s Ten Mile Record Attempt, finishing in 19:52 at 48.5 km/h, just shy of the all-time mark. Magnus Jamieson and Liam Ramsey, both of New Zealand, made it a tightly contested international podium.
