“Stop to Smell the Sunflowers”

I personally love flowers, specifically the thought of walking through fields of flowers. All the beautiful colors and variations just lift my mood. Seiples Farm, not too far away from the Lehigh Valley, located in Bath PA, offers the opportunity to walk through their fields and pick your own sunflowers. I’ve been wanting to experience this for years and I recently met up with a few friends to do so. From the delicious food truck vendors, shopping options, and all the photo prompts, it was a lovely outing full of memories to last. When on an outing, I often notice a struggle between wanting to be fully present in the moment… to stop and smell the flowers and wanting to take photos of everything so I can capture those moments and have those photos to look back on. I strive for that balance in life. One of the photo prompts included a sign that said, “Live Life in Full Bloom”. As the summer is coming to an end and fall is approaching, sometimes making that transition can feel difficult. For that transition, I am going to lean on some guidance that I read a few years ago… Advice from a Sunflower. Advice from a sunflower reminds us to be bright, sunny, and positive, to spread seeds of happiness, and to rise, shine, and hold your head high. Of course, this is not always easy to accomplish daily. Not every day is good, but I hope that there is something good every day. Even during those days that feel tough, I encourage you to look for a little sun or maybe even stop to smell a flower.

If you are excited about the fall and pumpkin season, check out Seiple Farms – Family Owned Since 1889 for their upcoming festivals.

Sending you Light & Love,
