Designer Lara Bly Opens Permanent Pop-Up Shop in Downtown Bethlehem

— It’s fashion and beauty under one roof as her designs return to American Hairlines, the salon whose “PopMart” once jumpstarted her first boutique. —

[Bethlehem, PA, August 30, 2025] — Bethlehem’s fashion scene just got a little more glamorous. Lehigh Valley designer, Lara Bly, has opened a secondary retail pop up in Downtown Bethlehem’s Northside district inside American Hairlines, the award-winning salon and wig studio.

This new outpost offers clients another stylish way to experience Bly’s signature couture, glittering ready-to-wear pieces, and seasonal collections just steps away from Broad & Main Street dining, offices, and cultural destinations. Visitors can browse Bly’s latest looks while enjoying services at American Hairlines or simply popping in while downtown.

In a full-circle moment, Lara Bly began her label in 2020 by purchasing inventory from American Hairlines’ “PopMart” retail showcase and refashioning those materials into her initial boutique collection. Today, those upcycled fabrics have evolved into a line of upscale apparel, now available to the same community that inspired them.

Drew Thomas, co-owner of American Hairlines, notes, “We’ve loved watching Lara grow as a designer. Featuring her creations in our salon is a perfect blend of style and service for our clients.”

The partnership between Lara Bly Designs and American Hairlines also extends to the runway, as the salon has been a major contributor to Bly’s semi-annual fashion shows, providing hair and makeup artistry, including for the upcoming show on November 15, 2025, at Venture X in downtown Bethlehem.
