Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley to Host Ribbon Cutting for New Accessible Splash Pad

Allentown, PA – September 19, 2025 – The Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley is excited to announce the official ribbon cutting of its brand-new fully accessible splash pad, designed to bring inclusive outdoor fun to children and adults of all abilities. The celebration will take place on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 4:30–5:30 PM, with the ribbon cutting scheduled for 5:00 PM at the Miracle League Field, 5858 Sell Rd., Schnecksville, PA.

This state-of-the-art splash pad marks the next chapter in the Miracle League’s ongoing mission to provide year-round opportunities where every individual, regardless of ability, can play, belong, and shine. With its sensory-friendly design, adaptive features, and wide-open layout, the splash pad ensures that players, families, and community members can safely enjoy summertime fun together.

The splash pad is dedicated in loving memory of Rev. Dan Gambet, OSFS (1929–2022)—a joyful servant, beloved educator, and spiritual leader whose kindness and generosity touched many generations. As the plaque at the splash pad reads: “May this space of laughter and fun reflect the joy and warmth he brought to all who knew him.”

“This splash pad is more than just a place to cool off—it’s a place of joy, belonging, and shared memories,” said Stephanie Fisher, Director of the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley. “We are honored to dedicate it to Father Gambet, whose legacy of kindness and generosity continues to inspire us. This project is not only about water and play—it’s about community and connection.”

The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber, a proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is excited to facilitate the ribbon cutting alongside the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley with board members and community leaders in attendance.
