Easton, PA — On Saturday, December 20, the Easton Farmers Market will host a Community Food Drive from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Scott Park along the Riverfront in downtown Easton. The collection tent will be located near the Larry Holmes statue, welcoming donations to help fight food insecurity in our region.

The initiative is organized by Crystal Rose, Easton City Council Member, in partnership with the Easton Farmers Market and local volunteers. Community members are encouraged to donate fresh produce, non-perishable goods, and grocery store gift cards. Visitors can also support SNAP recipients by contributing to the market’s SNAP token program, which provides tokens to families in need so they can shop directly from market vendors.

“The holidays are a time for giving, and this food drive is a simple way we can come together to support our neighbors,” said Crystal Rose. “Every donation—big or small—helps ensure families in Easton have access to healthy, nourishing food. It’s about showing that we care and lifting each other up.”

Rose expressed gratitude to the Easton Farmers Market for providing space, to volunteers for spreading the word, and to fellow Council Member Frank Pintabone, Council Member-Elect Julie Zando-Dennis, Easton Farmers’ Market Manager Emily Roland, and Community Volunteer Stacy Melvin for their support.

All donations will be equally distributed to ProJeCt of Easton’s Food Pantry, ensuring families across the Easton area have access to nutritious food during the holiday season.

“This drive is about neighbors helping neighbors,” Rose emphasized. “We’re proud to bring the community together in such a meaningful way.”

Marketgoers are invited to bring donations, purchase items to donate from market vendors, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the Easton Farmers Market while making a tangible difference in the lives of others. This will be the last market date before the Christmas holiday.
