Lehigh Valley Greenways Issues Request for Proposals



EASTON, Pa. — Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC), in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), is seeking qualified firms to develop a new strategic plan for the Lehigh Valley Greenways Conservation Landscape.

The strategic planning effort will guide the next phase of work for Lehigh Valley Greenways, a regional partnership focused on conserving natural resources, enhancing outdoor recreation, supporting community revitalization, and expanding environmental education throughout Lehigh and Northampton counties. The selected consultant will facilitate planning and prepare a comprehensive five-year strategy to advance the partnership’s long-term goals.

The goal of the strategic planning process is to research and identify top model recommendations, engage stakeholders in meaningful discussions regarding the role of Lehigh Valley Greenways Conservation Landscape and produce a detailed five‑year strategic plan accompanied by an implementation matrix. Qualified respondents are invited to submit one digital proposal through the online submission form available at: delawareandlehigh.org/lehigh-valley-greenways-request-for-proposals. Proposals must be received electronically no later than April 10, 2026 at 5 p.m. EST.

PROJECT TIMELINE

All official questions regarding the RFP must be submitted through the online form by 4 p.m. on March 27, 2026. Questions submitted after the deadline will not receive a response.

Submissions will be reviewed between April 13 and May 8, 2026, with interviews scheduled from May 11 through May 22, 2026. Consultant selection and notification will occur during the week of May 25, 2026.

The project is expected to begin June 1, 2026, and must be completed by November 30, 2026.
