ALLENTOWN READY FOR SNOW STORM

The city of Allentown is prepared for the expected first snow storm of the season.

According to Interim Director of Public Works Craig Messinger, plows and salt spreaders are mounted on 43 trucks to make traveling in the city as safe as possible. “We have the equipment and manpower ready for whatever Mother Nature throws at us,” said Messinger.

The city has an ample supply of road salt and anti-skid material.

The city’s “Snow Operations Hotline” will be staffed beginning at 7am Wednesday at 610-437-7669.
