Mercy Gala to Honor Father Gambet, Former Principal



 

Allentown: The 27th Annual Mercy School For Special Learning Dinner Gala and Auction will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 7 p.m. at DeSales University in Center Valley.

Mercy School For Special Learning will honor longtime Mercy supporter Father Daniel G. Gambet, OSFS, President Emeritus of DeSales University, with the Angel of Mercy Award, along with former Mercy principal Sister Janice M. Johnson with a special Legacy Award for her many years of service.

All proceeds from the gala and live/silent auctions will benefit Mercy, the Lehigh Valley’s only private, nonresidential school for children and young adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. Last year’s Mercy Gala welcomed nearly 350 participants and netted more than $204,000, making it one of the largest fundraising events in the Valley.

When: Saturday, October 8, 2016 – 7 p.m. (Cocktail hour runs 6-7 p.m.)

Where: DeSales University (University Center) – 2755 Station Ave., Center Valley, PA

Pricing Information: $135/person includes dinner, 1-hour open bar, performances by Mercy’s Magical Movement Dancers, access to silent and live auction, and more.
