Allentown School District In Your Schools: October 3 – 14, 2016


Allentown School District announces the following events and activities throughout our District. Highlights include:


  • ASD Community – October 3 – November 21: 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.: FREE Adult ESOL Classes are offered to anyone in the community. They will be held at William Allen High School every Monday and Wednesday; and at Dieruff High School every Monday and Thursday. To register for the classes at Allen, call 484-765-5244 or 484-765-5134. To register for the classes at Dieruff, call 484-765-5654.


  • Mosser Elementary School – October 3; 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.: The NED Show. Acronym for Never Give Up, Encourage Others and Do Your Best.


  • Ritter Elementary School – October 4; during school day: Veteran’s Interview Day students will be interviewing local veteran’s in preparation for the school’s Annual Veteran’s Day presentations.


  • Harrison-Morton Middle School – October 4; 6:30 p.m.: Open House.


  • Sheridan Elementary School – October 5: 9:30 a.m.: White and Williams School Initiative Kick-Off. This will be a school-wide assembly with the law firm White and Williams LLP who will officially “re-adoption” of Sheridan as their school to support. They will present picnic tables and active chairs for students who need opportunities for movement throughout the day due to behavioral disorders.


  • William Penn Building – October 6; 6:00 p.m.: Open House.


  • ASD Schools – October 10 – CLOSED for Teacher In-Service Day.


  • Jackson Building – October 13; 6:00 p.m.: Open House.
