Carmel Kitchen & Wine Bar to open Lehigh Valley location this April

New restaurant will offer modern interpretations of Mediterranean cuisine and offer technology to guide the dining experience

SOUTH WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, PA (March 5, 2015) — A new restaurant offering modern interpretations of Mediterranean cuisine, meticulously paired with global wines and house-infused cocktails, is coming to Lehigh Valley this April.

Carmel Kitchen & Wine Bar (www.carmel-kitchen.com), 3750 Hamilton Blvd., will offer a “polished casual” environment featuring more than 60 adventurous wines culled from across the globe; a warm, friendly décor and a menu focusing on natural, freshly prepared foods.

In addition, Carmel Kitchen will give guests a dining experience that they can control right from their table. iPads equipped with MenuPad technology will allow them to customize and pace their meals from start to finish. If they prefer more interaction, guests can opt to have expert servers guide them through the ever-changing specials and food and drink pairings.

“I feel strongly about opening our new restaurant in Lehigh Valley,” said Alex Sullivan, partner at Carmel Kitchen. “The area has experienced a surge in growth and entertainment options and has an appreciation for quality dining experiences. We are excited to open our doors and become a favorite food and wine destination for the community.”

It is the second Carmel Kitchen location in Pennsylvania –the first was in Warrington, Bucks County – and the eighth overall. The concept was originated by former Outback Steakhouse CEO Chris Sullivan.

Conveniently situated one-quarter mile east of I-78, the 6,500-square-foot restaurant will feature an elevated wine bar that serves as the center of attention for patrons looking to enjoy a night out. The flavorful menu will be highlighted by daily specials featuring locally sourced ingredients.

“The wine bar is the heartbeat, the source of energy at Carmel Kitchen,” said Sullivan. “It’s an energetic atmosphere perfect for meeting up with friends or taking that special someone out on date night. Our handcrafted cocktails are made with the freshest of ingredients.”

A secluded wine room is available for private parties and events with up to 25 guests. Initially, Carmel Kitchen will be open exclusively for dinner. Lunch will be available within a few weeks of the opening. A grand opening date will be announced by mid-March.
