ALLENTOWN RESCUE MISSION is looking for a clothing donation coordinator for Mondays and Tuesdays from 10am-2pm.  Duties include coordination of up to 4 people in accepting and sorting incoming clothing donations and keep the clothing room organized and maintained.  Call Deirdre Federico, 610-740-5500 x322, dfederico@armpa.org.

 

FEED THE CHILDREN, Bethlehem is looking for volunteers to join their Saturday Box Brigade.  Help pack boxes of food and personal care items for distribution across Northeastern United States.  The Saturday Box Brigade takes place the second Saturday of every other month, with the first Saturday on March 10, 2018 from 9am-12 noon.  This opportunity is perfect for groups, corporate team building groups, and individuals.  Call Beth Baier, 610-419-9356, beth.baier@feedthechildren.org.

 

FORGOTTEN FELINES AND FIDOS, INC., Germansville needs volunteers to help clean food bowls, wash linen, clean litter boxes, etc. for about 150 felines at their shelter house and barn.  Volunteer any time you can spare between 9am – 12 noon Sunday through Saturday (including holidays).  Call Kristen Rotondo, 610-737-6851, fffvolunteer@verizon.net.

 

GREATER LV AUTO DEALERS ASSOCIATION FOUNDATION needs volunteers to staff the 2018 Lehigh Valley Auto Show for 4 hour shifts at Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus, 10am-9pm Thursday, March 22- Sunday, March 25.  Parking is free and volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and get tickets to attend the show later with a family member.  Call Tom Kwiatek, 610-758-9691, tkwiatek@ptd.net.

 

MEALS ON WHEELS OF NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Bethlehem is seeking meal delivery volunteers (18+years).  Volunteer daily or as little as twice each month, according to your availability.  Volunteers must possess a valid driver’s license and have car insurance.  Application process includes criminal background check, orientation, and on-the-road training.  Call Keri Young, 610-691-1030 x20, kerig@mealsonwheelspa.org.

 

THE GRESS MOUNTAIN RANCH, Orefield, is an animal sanctuary for 70+ pets and farm animals rescued from abuse or neglect.  Volunteers are desperately needed to feed/water their ranch animals, perform environmental clean-up, and do ground maintenance including some winterizing of pens.    Animals need tending and feeding every day of the year.  Call Kathryn Gress, 610-398-2122, gressranch@gmail.com.

 

THE SALVATION ARMY CHILDREN’S SERVICES, Allentown is looking for volunteers to be a week night Buddy for a child in foster care.  The role of the buddy is to provide one-on-one positive nurturing interactions during the Kids Connect Club sessions one evening a week, Mondays from 5:30-8:00pm.  Sessions involve crafting, snacking, reading, playing together, and participating in group activities.  Training will be provided.  Call Florence Rhue, 610-821-7706, Florence.rhue@use.salvationarmy.org.
