ALLENTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT FOUNDATION The next training session for the volunteer reading program is scheduled for Thursday, April 5, from 2:00-3:00pm at Jackson Elementary Childhood Center located at 517 North 15th Street, Allentown. Background clearances will need to be obtained to read in the schools and directions to obtain them will be distributed. GREATER VALLEY YMCA, Easton/Phillipsburg Branch needs help (age 16+) to set-up from 1-6PM on Thursday, April 5 for the annual Forks Education Center child care art show. THE DA VINCI SCIENCE CENTER – Allentown needs teen volunteers (age 15+) to help bring science to life on our exhibit floor, in summer camps, and behind the scenes from June to August. VOLUNTEER CENTER OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem is seeking ethnic diverse volunteers for its volunteer leadership program, Project Blueprint that develops and trains leaders to serve on boards and committees of local non-profit agencies. Six sessions are scheduled 5:30-8:15pm beginning Wednesdays April 4-May 9 at Olympus, Center Valley. Light dinner provided. Registration deadline: Friday, March 30. WILDLANDS CONSERVANCY, Emmaus will be eliminating an abundance of young Pin Cherry saplings on our Thomas Darling Preserve in Blakeslee on April 7.
