BETHLEHEM, PA (IMMEDIATE RELEASE) -The Spring Show opening reception at Bethlehem House Contemporary Art Gallery will be held Friday, April 20, 6 to 9 pm., at 459 Main Street, Bethlehem, PA.

Featured artists include Tina Cantelmi, Janet Dance, Thomas Kelly, Josh Schwartz, Ward Van Haute, and Marta Whistler.

A behemoth oil on linen painting by artist Tina Cantelmi, a Bethlehem native, will be unveiled for the opening.

The super-sized painting, titled “Approach,” measures 6 by 9.8 feet and features an ethereal landing over open waters in the Florida Keys, or perhaps, any possible clear ocean waters where the depth and breadth of the seas can be perceived from the air, says the artist. Nine additional works by Cantelmi will also be featured in the spring show.

“My most recent paintings explore ever changing themes and locations, bringing layers of light and shape and a color-charged palette to dynamic, imaginative compositions to either rev or calm the senses. I prefer to allow the viewer to decide and choose specific objects and references. My works are in private and corporate collections across the United States including the Lehigh Valley, Boston, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Miami, Seattle and South Florida,” says Cantelmi, a Bethlehem native.
