January 13 – Cheer Booster Club Designer Purse Bingo, PHS Cafeteria. Doors open at 11:30 AM and Bingo begins at 1 PM. $25 for 20 games. Tickets available at the door. Food, basket raffle and 50/50 drawing will be available. For more info: parklandcheerboosterclub@gmail.com

January 15 – Zumba Class, PHS Auxiliary Gym, 3:15 PM. The Parkland HS Spanish Club invites you to a Zumba fundraiser on Tuesday, January 15. The hour-long workout will begin at 3:15PM in the AUX gym. No previous Zumba experience is required! Just bring a $3 donation to support Peace Corps efforts in Guatemala!

January 17 – Community Advisory Council meets about the Annual Budget. The public at large is invited to attend, Administration Center, 7 PM.

January 21 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day – SCHOOLS CLOSED

January 23,24 – PHS Midterms – Early Dismissal at PHS only

January 23, Education Summit, 6:30 PM, Steelworkers Union Hall, 53 E. Lehigh St., Bethlehem. Learn the facts about Education Equality and hear from Superintendent Rich Sniscak and other school leaders from across the Lehigh Valley. RSVP to kathyharrington4all@gmail.com

January 25 – Early Dismissal – HS/MS at 1 PM and Elem Schools at 1:45 PM

Jan. 31 & Feb. 1 – Mark Wood of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra will perform on the Parkland stage and Electrify our String Students! Thanks to a grant from the Parkland Education Foundation! Mr. Wood will do a master class with string students in grades 7-12 on Thursday and grades 4-6 on Friday. He will perform with students both evenings. Feb. 2 – Spring Sports FREE Physicals/ImPACT Testing, PHS Cafeteria

Boys 8 AM – 9:30 AM., Girls 9:30 AM – 11 AM. They are free of charge. ImPACT testing will be available 8 AM – 11 AM.

Feb. 24 – The Parkland High School Chorale Sings with Bach Choir Of Bethlehem, 3 PM, Zoellner Arts Center – Lehigh University.
This concert will feature a collaboration with The Bach Choir Of Bethlehem, Bel Canto Youth Chorus, Emmaus High School Chorale, Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts Touring Choir, and Parkland High School Chorale.
