Girls Basketball vs. Abington, PIAA Playoffs at Council Rock South HS, $6 tickets at the door for all ages.

 
Boys Basketball vs. Chester, PIAA Playoffs at Freedom High School, $6 tickets at the door for all ages.

PHS, OMS and SMS will dismiss at 1 PM.

Elementary Schools will dismiss at 1:45 PM.  This is 1 hour 45 minutes earlier than usual.

OMS will perform “Into the Woods, Jr.” at OMS Auditorium at 7 PM on March 7 and 8 at 7 PM and March 9 and 10 at 2 PM.

SMS will perform “Bugsy Malone, Jr.” at SMS Auditorium at 7 PM on March 7 and 8 at 7 PM and March 9 at 2 PM and 7 PM.

All tickets $5 at the door.

Parkland High School Strolling Strings, and Phoebe Berks resident senior group “Piano Quartet,” will rehearse two pieces arranged for piano and strings by Phoebe resident Bob Masenheimer at 3:30 PM at Parkland High School in preparation for a performance at the Phoebe Institute on Aging Benefit at DeSales University.
At 12 noon, Dr. Levitt will visit the PHS Biomedical students.  He will discuss his career as a neurologist and end with several clinical cases, their human connection, and then challenge the students to identify a patient who had a neurological problem whom they knew or knew of. They will then write a summary of that patient and what the disease which the patient had was about. The submissions will be reviewed by the biology teachers and Dr. Levitt and the 10 best will receive a signed copy of Dr. Levitt’s book, Uncommon Wisdom: True Tales of what our Lives as Doctors have Taught Us about Love, Faith and Healing.
Congratulations to all of the PHS, OMS and SMS students who won 1st Place at the PA Junior Academy of Science Regional Science Fair Competition. OMS had 44 1st place recipients with 3 perfect scores, SMS had 76 1st place recipients with 4 perfect scores and PHS had 30 1st place recipients with 2 perfect scores. These students will move on to the State PJAS Science Fair Competition at Penn State in May.
Feb 24 – March 15 – An array of award-winning artwork is on display at The Sharadin Art Building – The Miller Gallery at Kutztown University who will host the East Central PA Scholastic Art Awards on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 1 PM when all Special Art Awards will be announced (Note this is a new date – March 3 is canceled due to forecast).  The public is invited to enjoy the exhibition during Gallery hours: Tues-Fri 10 AM-4 PM, Sat 12-4 PM and Sun 2-4 PM.  Closed Mondays.
