CEDARBROOK SENIOR CARE AND REHAB, Allentown invites volunteers to help at their Annual Holiday Bazaar on Friday, November 8 from 9:30am-3pm. Assist residents (push wheelchairs) as they shop for crafts, baked goods, plants, and other goodies; table helpers are also needed. DELAWARE & LEHIGH NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR, Easton needs volunteers for their Half Marathon Run & Walk on Sunday, November 3. Volunteers staff water stops, start/finish areas, and places in between, serve water/food, direct participants at road intersections/crossings, help present medals/ awards, and cheer on participants. Course starts at the Northern Lehigh High School, Slatington, and finishes at Canal Street Park, Northampton. EQUI-LIBRIUM, INC., Nazareth is hosting a “Night at the Races” on Friday, November 15 at the PBS39 facility on the SteelStacks campus, Bethlehem. Races will be shown on big screens and people can buy a horse, place bets, and cheer them on. Volunteers are needed to help set-up, run bets during races, and help clean-up. HOLIDAY HOPE CHESTS need volunteers to donate wrapped shoeboxes filled with age appropriate items for Lehigh Valley’s children in need. This program coordinated by the Volunteer Center is a great project for large/small groups, clubs, classes, families, and individuals. MORAVIAN HISTORICAL SOCIETY is looking for a curatorial intern to assist the Curator of Collections with researching and preparing their winter exhibition. This intern will locate and inventory collection objects, while learning Past Perfect collection management software.
