Tributes to Tom Petty, the Talking Heads and Jane’s Addiction highlight Feb/Mar lineup

BETHLEHEM, PA – Beloved Lehigh Valley-based tribute band Start Making Sense will honor three different legendary acts at the Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling in February and March, representing half of the six shows slated for the Café going on sale today. Tickets for all six shows – as listed below – go on sale starting tomorrow, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest members and Friday, Jan. 8, 10 a.m., to the public at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378. All shows are being sold with a socially distanced layout built in accordance with CDC guidelines; table reservations are good for groups of 2-6 guests.

Start Making Sense, known across the globe for their stellar Talking Heads tribute, will not only perform that show, but will also debut two more: one built around Tom Petty’s seminal Wildflowers album and the other paying homage to Jane’s Addiction, one of the first alternative rock acts to gain national attention.

The lineup is further bolstered by dates including 80s tribute band Rubix Kube, local rock trio Ruby Dear, just in time for their all-new record release, and the Sensational Soul Cruisers, a staple of the New Jersey music scene that has shared the stage with Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, Gloria Gaynor, and many more.

With health and safety at top priority, ArtsQuest has adopted a number of measures, in accordance with CDC guidelines, including capacity restrictions, social distancing measures, tables/chairs spaced 6 ft or more apart, masks required other than when seated eating and drinking, and regular cleaning of facilities including major touch points. We have invested in sanitation and disinfection products such as electrostatic sprayers, UV lamps, and more. Our HVAC has also been reconfigured, allowing more fresh air to circulate within our building, and our HEPA filters have been upgraded.

With limited tables available to ensure patron safety, each of the Start Making Sense shows and the Ruby Dear show can be enjoyed via livestream safely from your home. Donations are requested to watch the streamed shows, which will benefit both Start Making Sense and ArtsQuest, our non-profit organization. Links to streamed shows can be accessed by visiting www.steelstacks.org on show nights.
