THE OFFICIAL JAZZFEST 2017 POSTER IS HERE!

Last Thursday at the Allentown Art Museum, JazzFest Executive Director Bryan Tuk and Creative Director Zachary Hartzell unveiled the official 2017 poster during a preview concert by the Dan Dechellis Trio in the Museum’s Trexler Gallery.

The design aesthetic of the 2017 Poster is extremely clean and bright, and in some ways a major departure from the artwork of the 2015 and 2016 Festivals, which used dark colors as the overall palette.

“It’s really interesting that I’ve had people say to me that they couldn’t wait to collect the 2017 Poster, because they had purchased the 2015 and 2016 versions.  It’s great to see that tradition taking root around JazzFest,” said Bryan Tuk.

The 2017 Poster features six interlocking hands encircling the “Jazzman logo”, which is our secondary logo.  The six hands reference the six neighborhoods of Allentown unified as one.  This design illustrates the idea that the city unifies around art and music in a way that no other activity or subject matter can.  The Arts cross all demographic lines and categories.

The 2017 Poster is on sale here.

JazzFest runs from May 3 through May 7 at locations through out downtown Allentown on Hamilton Street.  For more details. please visit http://allentownjazzfest.org.
