Lehigh Parkway to Participate in 3rd Annual “Community Walk”

Allentown, PA (September 19, 2017) Lehigh Parkway Elementary School is holding its 3rd Annual Community Walk on September 21 from 3:45 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Lehigh Parkway faculty and staff will go out to several different designated locations within our parent community. During this event, the Parkway staff will be advertising for our Open House and Book Fair the following week, providing families with literacy strategies to practice at home, distributing Sapphire Community Portal Instructions, detailing their Leader in Me School status, and handing out free school supplies. Lehigh Parkway has partnered with several local community organizations which will provide our families with information about after-school and family programs available to them. We are still seeking additional school supply donations to distribute. The following organizations, clubs and people made this endeavor possible with their time, effort or donations. Many of these organizations will be present to participate in the Community Walk on September 21: The Allentown Young Professionals, Horace Mann, Sugar Hill Jazz Club, Ringer’s Roost, The Cellular Connection, Egypt VFW Post 7293, Mary Craig, Allentown School District Elect Program, Allentown Symphony Association, The Community Music School, William Allen High School, Allentown Youth Soccer Club, The Civic Theatre, The Allentown Public Library, The Allentown School District Foundation, State Representative Peter Schweyer, Allentown Arts Museum, SkyZone, the Allentown Parks and Recreation Office, The Archive, The Baum School of Art and YMCA.

Lehigh Parkway is located at 1708 Coronado Street, Allentown.
