CELTIC CULTURAL ALLIANCE, Bethlehem invites you to join the 800 new friends waiting to meet you at the Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival on September 28, 29, and 30. Many interesting positions ranging from Stage Hands, Ticket Sales, Supply, Runners, Merchandise Coordinators, to Beer Tappers and Wine Servers. Several positions for those who need to remain seated. EQUI-LIBRIUM, INC., Nazareth needs volunteers to help at their horse camps for children/youth with disabilities. Help with riding lessons (walking next to the horse assisting the rider) and help with horse related crafts and activities (feeding, grooming, etc.). Mandatory training will be provided from 12:30-3:30pm on 8/11. Camps run 8:30am-12:30pm Monday through Friday 8/13-8/17. FORGOTTEN FELINES AND FIDOS, Germansville is looking for dedicated volunteers to help with cat care at the shelter on Mondays and Fridays from 9am-11am.   This entails cleaning the rooms that the cats are in, including cleaning litter boxes, changing linens, providing fresh water and food, and giving some TLC to the cats after cleaning is completed.   Call Mary Ann, 610-737-6851, fffvolunteer@verizon.net.

 

HOLY FAMILY MANOR, Bethlehem needs volunteers for their Annual Golf Outing on August 19 at Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course. Shifts may be as little as 2 hours or stay for the entire event (10am-7pm). LEHIGH VALLEY HEALTH NETWORK needs volunteers for the following: Cedar Crest: Inpatient Pharmacy, Pastoral Care, Inpatient Rehab, Children’s Surgery, Gift Shop, Intensive Care Waiting Room, Greeter Desk, and No One Dies Alone; Muhlenberg: Gift Shop, Ambulatory Surgical, Volunteer Office, Outpatient Rehab, Dental Clinic, Musicians to provide background music during lunch on Rehab Floor; 17TH Street: Transitional Skills Unit, Friendly Visitor for Fleming Memory Center clients, lead activities in Transitional Skills Unit. NCC CENTER FOR COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS, Fowler Southside Center seeks volunteer classroom aide tutors for possible future openings in Adult Basic Education, GED Test preparation, and English as a Second Language classrooms. THE SALVATION ARMY OF GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY, Allentown is looking for volunteers to coordinate, organize, and pack school supplies into backpacks to benefit children in need in grades 1-12 on Wednesday, August 15 from 10am-2pm. SECOND HARVEST, Nazareth is looking for volunteers to help accept donations at the 6th Annual Food Drive at the Great Allentown Fair from 4-6:30pm or 6:30-9pm (or both) on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Volunteers will be posted at each of the entrance gates to collect food items from fairgoers taking advantage of the “Buck and a Can” admission special for opening night.
