Tails of Valor® Founder Heather Lloyd to be Honored with American Red Cross Good Samaritan Hero Award
COOPERSBURG, PA — Tails of Valor®, Paws of Honor, Inc. (TOV) is proud to announce that its Founder and Executive Director, Heather Lloyd, has been selected as a recipient of the Good Samaritan Hero Award at the American Red Cross Fourth Annual Lehigh Valley Heroes Breakfast.
The American Red Cross Real Heroes Awards honor individuals and organizations that demonstrate courage, compassion, and selflessness, saving lives and strengthening communities. During the Lehigh Valley Heroes Breakfast, the American Red Cross Pennsylvania Rivers Chapter honors those like Heather Lloyd for acts of great bravery, dedication, and service to the community. This recognition celebrates the heroes among us who make a difference each day by providing support to those in need. The ceremony will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Olympus Corporation of the Americas in Center Valley.
Since founding Tails of Valor® in 2014, Heather Lloyd has dedicated her life to providing a “Journey With A Purpose®” for Veterans, Law Enforcement, and First Responders. Under her leadership, the organization has spent over a decade providing non-medicinal, recovery-oriented canine-assisted therapies for those living with Post-Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
“This honor belongs to our participants and the incredible canines who walk beside them,” said Heather Lloyd. “At Tails of Valor®, we treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. Seeing our heroes transition from isolation to post-traumatic growth is the greatest reward. I am deeply humbled that the American Red Cross has chosen to highlight our mission of healing and hope.”
The Lehigh Valley Heroes Breakfast celebrates local individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary acts of courage or kindness. Proceeds from the event support the American Red Cross Pennsylvania Rivers Chapter in its mission to provide disaster relief and community support.
