The healthcare workers leading the #GetMePPE National Day of Action are members of SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania, state’s largest and fastest-growing union of nurses and healthcare workers. Frontline caregivers are at the epicenter of fighting coronavirus in our country’s hospitals, nursing homes, care facilities, and client homes and they are putting their lives on the line without the protection they need.

Workers are calling on the Trump administration to drive a coordinated, transparent national response — using the full power of the Defense Production Act — to immediately, and for the duration of the crisis, procure, produce, and provide PPE to all healthcare workers. They are also calling for healthcare coverage, paid sick time, and paid leave for all frontline workers nationwide.

SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania is the state’s largest and fastest-growing union of nurses and healthcare workers, uniting nearly 45,000 nurses, professional and technical employees, direct care workers, and service employees in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home and community- based services, and State facilities across the Commonwealth. SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania members are committed to improving the lives of health care workers and ensuring quality care and healthy communities for all Pennsylvanians.
