ALLENTOWN DEPARTMENTS COLLABORATE FOR CHILDHOOD IMMUNIZATIONS & WATER SAFETY

The Allentown Health Bureau and Department of Parks & Recreation are teaming-up to encourage childhood immunizations and water safety.

The Health Bureau is accepting appointments for childhood immunizations for city children who are uninsured or have Medicaid insurance. Preference will be given to students who require vaccinations to return to school. Parents/Guardians must call 610-437-7760 in advance, to schedule an appointment.

One parent and one child are allowed per visit due to COVID-19 restrictions. Guests are not be permitted to accompany patients. Proof of Allentown residency is required.

In conjunction with the Health Bureau’s Immunization program, the Department of Parks and Recreation will provide a FREE Water Safety bag including important water safety resources for parents/guardians and fun items for children. Supplies are limited – 1 FREE Water Safety bag will be provided for each visit, while supplies last. Additionally, FREE water safety tips and resources are available at www.poolsafely.gov
