Lamont McClure and Director of Corrections, James Kostura, have invited Police Trainers or Police Chiefs from each department to participate in the diversity training all corrections officers at the Northampton County Prison take every year. Northampton County will cover the cost for this programming; Police Department members may attend free of charge.

“We have run this program for our cadets and corrections officers for the last two years and have had found it to be very successful,” says Lamont McClure. “With the number of recent protests in the area, all of which have thankfully been peaceful, we’re happy to assist local law enforcement in developing tools needed to increase safety and decrease stress levels.”

The Intersekt Alliance training program teaches individuals and organizations skills to navigate perspectives in a culturally diverse population.
