PBS39 to Host Community Conversation, Criminal Justice Reform

Bethlehem, PA. – August 3, 2020 – PBS39 will premiere a one hour program, Community Conversation: Criminal Justice Reform, on Tuesday, August 11, at 7 p.m. In this conversation, host Monica Evans and guests will explore where the criminal justice system is effective and where it is lacking.

“This is a crucial time to look at the criminal justice system with a wider lens; and look behind the bars to see if people are getting the help they need to rebuild their lives,” said Monica Evans, Executive Producer and Host.

Additional discussion topics include incarceration rates, systemic racism in the justice system and what is being done in the Lehigh Valley region to improve the situation.

  • Dr. Hasshan Batts – Executive Director, Promise Neighborhoods
  • Judge Douglas G. Reichley – Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas
