BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS LEHIGH VALLEY is looking for compassionate and energetic volunteers to become ‘Bigs’ for youth ages seven (7) to sixteen (16) in Lehigh and Northampton County. Our matches typically meet twice a month and can participate in activities that they are most interested in. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY RESTORE, Whitehall is always in need of eager, willing, and excited volunteers to help with accepting donations, cleaning, organization, and customer service 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. HISPANIC CENTER OF LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem seeks hardworking volunteers to assist with donation deliveries to the food pantry. On Fridays, volunteers would go to Sam’s Club collection site if needed, load the van, unload donation at the Center, count, and record quantities of donation, and organize food on shelves so it is ready for distribution. On the third Thursday of the month, we receive a delivery from the Food Bank where the same process occurs. Must be able to lift 25–30-pound boxes of food and willing to spend 2-3 hours working hard. HISTORIC BETHLEHEM MUSEUMS & SITES is seeking Gallery volunteers and Tour guides at the Kemerer Museum and Moravian Museum to lead guests through the museum while offering a lively and educational experience, and to answer visitors’ questions. Guides should be comfortable talking to visitors of all ages and will receive training to provide a high-quality tour experience. Shifts are 3-4 hours long and two shifts per month are requested. MILLER KEYSTONE BLOOD CENTER is currently looking for reliable volunteers to prescreen donors at our Donor Center in Easton 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every other Saturday by asking donors 3-4 questions that are Covid related and taking a forehead temperature. This is an ongoing biweekly opportunity.
