Former Hackman’s Bible Book Store To Be Fully Occupied By Fall

Allentown, PA — Hanna Frederick Commercial Real Estate, a department of Howard Hanna The Frederick Group, and Realtor Joe McDermott coordinated completion of a five-year lease that will bring an Indian grocery store and up to eight new jobs to the EZ Micro building in Whitehall Township that was once home to Hackman’s Bible Book Store.

The grocery, which will employ at least five full-time and three part-time staffers, is expected to open this fall, said tenant Dipal Panchal of DMart Express Inc., a Matawan, NJ, business that also operates a store in Allentown.

The lease for approximately 7,000-square-feet of retail and storage space brings the former Hackman’s building at 1341 Mickley Road to full occupancy. The remainder of the 20,000-square-foot is occupied by the owner, EZ Micro Solutions Inc., which purchased the landmark property in 2021.

EZ Micro will host a grand opening for its expanded business on Friday, July 9, from 4 to 8 p.m.

McDermott represented the buyer, EZ Micro Inc. and owner David Dooley in that purchase. Hanna Frederick Realtor Randy Beitler represented the seller, Bible Fellowship Homes Inc., which had purchased the property in 2019 when Hackman’s closed after 30 years in that location.
