BETHLEHEM, PA – November 19, 2021 – Keeping the food boxes in the lobbies of its four community health centers filled for the next several months is the goal of the Giving Tuesday campaign for the nonprofit Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley.

The food boxes contain donations from the public and the health center, which are primarily accessed by patient families, but which are also available to members of the general public.

With donations having slowed during the pandemic, the organization is asking the public to support its Giving Tuesday campaign in three ways:

  1. Drop off non-perishable food donations at any of its 4 community health center locations. (Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm) https://www.nhclv.org/our-locations/
  2. Purchase food and personal care items from the organization’s Amazon Wish List, which will be shipped to NHCLV’s Northside Bethlehem location: https://bit.ly/NHCLVwishlist
  3. Make a donation to NHCLV that will be used to purchase items to keep the food boxes filled: https://bit.ly/NHCLVdonations

NHCLV is the region’s first nonprofit, Federally Qualified Health Center. It operates community health centers offering primary medical care in downtown Allentown, Northside and Southside Bethlehem, and West Ward Easton. All of its health centers are open to the general public, and it treats patients with or without health insurance.

NHCLV was officially incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 2004 with a goal of meeting the needs for a coordinated system of primary care for the uninsured and underinsured residents of the Lehigh Valley. Its original site was in Allentown’s First Ward, a designated medically underserved area. Its administrative offices are located at its Northside Bethlehem facility.

(NHCLV is an independent nonprofit, patient-led organization, not affiliated with any local health networks.)  www.nhclv.org
