Join local NASA Solar System Ambassadors, enjoy food and drink while mingling with other space enthusiasts and see a special Science on a Sphere program about the James Webb Space Telescope, “Images from Out of this World”.
The James Webb Space Telescope is the largest observatory ever launched into space and will provide insight into the early universe, the life cycles of stars and the evolution of galaxies. Attendees will learn more about the Webb Space Telescope and the images it has captured at a special Science on a Sphere Spotlight at the Nurture Nature Center.
Afterwards attendees will make their way down to Scott Park for a star party (open to the public) viewing the moon, Mars, and Venus from 9-10 pm (weather dependent)– telescopes are provided and experts will be available to answer questions.
This ticketed event supports the inaugural Lehigh Valley Space Fest, an event focused on Space & Astronomy with educational and fun activities for the whole family. Space related presentations, kids games & activities, vendors and more will be throughout the day on Saturday May 6th and Sunday May 7th at Paxinosa Elementary in Easton, PA. See the Lehigh Valley Space Fest website for a detailed schedule https://www.lvspacefest.org/. The Lehigh Valley Space Fest is a free, family oriented event that is open to all age levels.
Ticket revenue from the fundraiser and donations are solely to the Lehigh Valley Space Fest, not to the Nurture Nature Center. The Lehigh Valley Space Fest has no legal relation to the Nurture Nature Center and the Nurture Nature Center is not responsible for how the funds raised are spent.
