Allentown School District In Your Schools: February 29 – March 11, 2016



 

Allentown School District announces the following events will take place between in our schools.

 Events:

  • Building 21 Allentown High School – February 1 – March 4: 2016-2017 Applications Accepted. Rising 8th grade students residing in the Allentown School District Boundaries can apply to go to Building 21 Allentown High School next year. A lottery will be used to determine the first 150 students any additional applicants will be placed on a waitlist. Interested students can click this link to fill out an application:  https://building21.schoolmint.net/.

 

  • Newcomer Academy – March 1; 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Winter Open House for newest students and their families but all are welcome to attend. There will be presentations, raffles, food and college and community representatives.

 

  • Dieruff High School – March 2; 2:45 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: FAFSA Workshop (last one) for students who need assistance with completing financial aid paperwork for college. Sign up in the College & Career Center.

 

  • McKinley Elementary SchoolMarch 5; 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Book Blast – Habit 6, Synergize at Christ Lutheran Church, 1245 W Hamilton Street.

 

  • Lehigh Parkway Elementary SchoolMarch 8 – 10; 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Dental Sealant Program for Grades 2 and 3 in the Health Room.

 

  • ASD Elementary SchoolsMarch 8; 4:30 p.m.: PAL Basketball Division Championships at Trexler Middle School, 851 N 15th Street.

 

  • William Allen High School – March 9; 3:00 p.m.: FAFSA Completion Night in the College and Career Center.

 

  • William Allen High School – March 10 and 11; 7:00 p.m.: “Poetic Movement” presented by William Allen Studio Dance Academy. Tickets are available in Main Office or Room 2-101: $5 for students w/ID, $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
