Assist with literacy activities in a kindergarten or first grade classroom in the Allentown School District one hour per week or more during the school year. The Great Allentown Fair is coming up and Civic Theatre of Allentown would like to utilize community members to help us fundraise by directing people where to park their cars. Drivers are needed to transport families from congregations to a day center at 6 a.m. each day and then back to their congregations at 6:00 p.m. for Family Promise of Lehigh Valley clients. The vehicle is a 14-passenger van, and no special license is required. Congregations are all within 30 minutes of the Day Center located at 1346 W. Hamilton Street, Allentown. India Heritage Day is a one-day celebration of multi-cultural art, music, food, and fashion and will be held at the Allentown Arts Park on 5th Street on September 3. Hosted by Saara Arts, volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks including set up and tear down, food service, trash attendants, and floaters.
