Event Review: Lehigh Valley Pagan Pride 2023

Louis W. Moore Park

175 Country Club Rd, Easton, PA 18045-2333, United States

September 30, 2023.

“Pagan Pride 2023 at Louise Moore Park. Join us for an afternoon of workshops, drumming, rituals, crafts, and community fellowship. Special guest J. R. Mascaro!”

The Louise W Moore Park was the perfect place to host Lehigh Valley Pagan Pride. The beautiful park is peaceful, and it’s a 100-acre park. The pavilions are beautiful. They keep everything clean and it’s well taken care of. It’s open from sunrise to sunset. You can also visit the Sacred Beech Tree. It’s a giant weeping Beech Tree.

A steady flow of people came out to visit the vendors and guests. People from all walks of life, ages, career choices, and more came out today.

Some of the amazing vendors included Chuck Walks of Wellness House LV- Mindful Outdoor Guide. Chuck Thomas is the owner/founder of Chuck Walks. I’ve been on a few Chuck Walks myself, and they make an impact. I can’t say it’s more than hiking or just being in nature. It’s a collection of moments. Chuck plans everything precisely and, dives in with intent.

Chuck had set up his space, as if he was setting up a Mindful hike or one of the many beautiful events he has hosted. We don’t often think about how disconnected we are. There is a big world out there. A big world outside of Google. Some of my fellow Mindful Wanderers were also there helping out. It’s beautiful how much you can learn and share with people. How much peace a person can get from a small conversation.

People like to find like-minded people but, it’s also nice to meet some of us “weirdos” who will fit in the box or stay in the box… or even go near the box that some of society wants to keep us in. The Lehigh Valley Pagan Pride was certainly using the parks space to as a sacred place. Mother Nature is glorious. When you go outside, and feel the sunshine, you see flowers, trees, you notice little things you may not normally notice or think about.

Being part of Chuck Walks makes you a “Mindful Wanderer.” Today, for example… everyone walking around the park, they were taking in the sights, looking at jewelry, flower crowns, brooms, masks, and more. The people that were walking around were certainly being mindful that they were at Lehigh Valley Pagan Pride.

I was able to help out today, and wander around. I was so glad to be a part of this. I met some amazing souls. The world is fascinating. During my own time to wander around, I met Trisha Hurley of Spirit ‘n’ Soul Fitness. Trisha was kind enough to show me the basics of the Witch’s Dance with a borrowed broom.

I also met an amazingly talented soul who makes flower crowns, brooms, and more. They had me try on a vibrant Halloween inspired flower crown. I also met the owner of R-in-a-circle Leather, he makes custom made pieces. He had some incredible pieces including the Alien face hug mask, a Goat that was rotating to show all the craftsmanship.

I talked to the owner of HEXENWOLF SMITHING. What a talented individual. Today was such a beautiful day. As usual vending is a lot of work. People come from all over, and they do not always know what to expect but it was such a peaceful day. People were happy and there were so

many talented vendors and people who made homemade jewelry, soaps, oils, bracelets.

Each person had an individuality. They had tenacity and explained the products they were selling. It was a beautiful day to be a Mindful Wanderer.
