BETHLEHEM, PA – Northampton Community College’s (NCC) Center for Business & Industry (CBI) is offering several workshops this spring to help you strengthen your leadership skills and professional development.

Starting January 23, NCC’s CBI is offering its popular Management Certificate Program in an on-ground format at the Fowler Family Southside Center in Bethlehem. During the course of this program, you will learn how to effectively manage and coach employees while also enhancing your communication and leadership skills. Workshops include: Basic Management Skills, Coaching for Improved Performance, Conflict Resolution Strategies, Effective Interactions, Managing the Performance of Others, and Responsive Leadership. All workshops are taught by industry-experienced instructors, and participants who complete all six courses will earn the NCC CBI Management Certificate. Multiple days are offered for workshops throughout the spring, and virtual workshops are also available.

Next, dive into an Introduction to Microsoft 365 online course on February 21 from 8 a.m. – noon. Explore everything this powerful collaboration tool has to offer, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and more. Then continue your learning with Time Management Using Outlook on March 20 from 9 a.m. – noon. In this online course, you’ll develop the skills to effectively prioritize and complete important daily tasks.

Finally, round out your leadership training with The Leadership Challenge, a two-day, on-ground session, April 8 and 9, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., where you will use self-reflection coupled with stakeholder feedback to design your way to exemplary leadership. The workshop uses the Leadership Practices Inventory to examine the frequency with which leaders demonstrate the most powerful behaviors in engaging colleagues and team members which includes: Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable Others to Act, and Encourage the Heart. Within this leadership framework, you’ll create a plan to incorporate the practices of successful leaders into your own role and maximize your full leadership potential. The workshop includes all materials as well as breakfast and lunch each day, and will be held at the Fowler Family Southside Center in Bethlehem.
