Guests are encouraged to dress in 1920s-inspired attire
Bethlehem, PA (February 11, 2024) – You’re invited to shimmy your way into the second half of the 2020s with a tribute to the 1920s at Historic Hotel Bethlehem. Grab a fedora or a fringe filled dress to attend the Roaring ‘20s party Saturday, March 1 at 5pm. “As you might have said in 1925, it’s gonna be the cat’s pajamas. We’ll have music from the band Dolcetto that will keep you bopping all night,” said Kelly Ronalds, Director of Room Sales and Guest Experience at the hotel.
The ‘20s is a special decade at the hotel, which first opened its doors in 1922. “It’s so much fun to celebrate our century-long legacy with some of the most popular culture from the hotel’s history. The staff will be dressed in 1920s attire and we encourage the guests to get in on the fun with ‘20s-inspired outfits as well,” said Ronalds.
A roaring good selection of food and drinks
There will be one notable difference between this event and any held 100 years ago – there will be a four-hour open bar. Ronalds noted, “The hotel opened during prohibition, so guests could only get a drink if they knew about the speakeasy hidden downstairs. In modern times, no passwords are required for a cocktail.”
The menu features display and butler passed hors d’oeuvres, and a three-course dinner. “We’ll kick things off with a classic 1920’s favorite, the Waldorf Salad, which features apples and walnuts,” said Historic Hotel Bethlehem Executive Chef Rodney Rivera. “For the entree, guests have several savory choices. We’ll have a slow roasted prime rib, roasted chicken breasts with green peppercorn and brandy sauce, pan seared salmon with lemon dill caper sauce, or delectable asiago gnocchi.” Guests will end the evening on a sweet note with a dessert display featuring homemade creamy orange posset with bittersweet chocolate shavings.
Roaring ‘20s Party Reservation information
The all-inclusive price is $150 per person. There is also a special overnight rate available for guests who’d like to keep the party going. It’s $199. For reservations call 877-327-9402.
