Monday, September 15, 2025

Kidder Township, PA September 15, 2025 – The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC), a proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce is excited to host the 19th Annual Sturm Cup Golf Tournament at the breathtaking Jack Frost National Golf Club. This long-standing tradition has become one of the county’s most anticipated fall events, bringing together business leaders, community partners, and golf enthusiasts from not just Carbon County, but also from the Lehigh Valley and Monroe County for a day of competition, camaraderie, and support for local economic growth.

The day begins with registration and breakfast at 8:00 AM, where golfers will receive their welcome bags, mingle with fellow participants, and have the chance to purchase contest packages, raffle tickets, and 50/50 tickets. The tournament officially tees off at 9:00 AM with a shotgun start.

Participants will enjoy a full day of golf with green and cart fees included, along with on-course refreshments and exciting contests such as Hole-in-One, Pot-o-Gold, Longest Drive, and Bottle Bonanza. On-course vendors will also provide interactive games, giveaways, drinks, and snacks to keep the energy high throughout the day.

The event concludes with a luncheon and awards ceremony, where prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams, as well as the Best Jack & Jill (co-ed) team.

“We’re thrilled to welcome golfers back for the 19th Annual Sturm Cup,” said Kylie Adams-Weiss, SVP of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. “This tournament is more than just a great day on the greens – it’s a chance to build connections, celebrate our business community, and directly support the Chamber’s mission of strengthening Carbon County’s economy.”

The CCEDC is still accepting golfers, sponsorships, and raffles for this year’s event. With limited spots available, early registration is encouraged to secure your place in the tournament. Sponsorship opportunities are also open, offering businesses the chance to showcase their brand, connect with local leaders, and support the Chamber’s ongoing initiatives.
