Allentown School District announces the following events will take place between in our schools between May 2-13. As always, below are some highlights to consider for next week:

ASD Kindergarten Registration:

ASD Elementary Schools: May 4: 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m.; ASD 3rd Annual Elementary Instrumental Concertand 1st Annual Jump Rope Tournament at the PPL Plaza, rain date is May 11. Jump Rope Tournament will feature the top 3 jump rope students from each ASD elementary school and is sponsored by the American Heart Association. Winner of the jump rope tournament will receive a scooter.

Lehigh Parkway Elementary School: May 5; 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Meet the Author Night at Barnes and Noble, Lehigh Valley Mall. Students in Grades 3-5 who participated in I am on a Bookshelf will be celebrated as young authors and have the opportunity to show off their books and speak about their writing journey.

Dieruff High School: May 6; 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Husky Fest will be held in the Gym Parking Lot. Free and open to the public. Husky Fest brings the entire community and school together for an evening of fun and educational activities. The event offers live entertainment, games, delicious food, community information tables, a raffle and educational activities appropriate for all ages.

Trexler Middle School: May 6 and 7; 7:00 p.m: Trexler Middle School presents Lion King, Jr. Tickets are $3/students and $5/adults. Performance in the Trexler Middle School Auditorium, 851 N 15th Street.

Raub Middle School: May 10; 6:30 p.m.: Raub Middle School Spring Band Concert

Dieruff High School: May 10; 7:00 p.m.: Dieruff High School Spring Band/Choir Concert, admissions is $5 adults/$3 students.

South Mountain Middle School: May 11; 5:30 p.m.: South Mountain Middle School Spring Band/Chorus Concert. Cost $1/ person.

Trexler Middle School: May 12; 5:30 p.m.: Trexler Middle School Spring Band/Chorus/Orchestra Concert

South Mountain Middle School: May 13 at 5:30 p.m., May 14 at 7:00 p.m. and May 15 at 2:00 p.m. South Mountain Middle School presents Godspell, Jr. in the Auditorium, 709 W. Emaus Avenue. Admission is $3 students/$5 adults.
